The Library Report

I've started doing something a bit different. I'm a bit peeved at the priorities of the state of California and Los Angeles. They have decided to even further reduce access and hours to the public library. This is a vital resource in our community. The misguided leaders of the county feel that by cutting back hours and services at the LAPL will somehow close the budget gap. How about cutting back on assistance to gangs, how about cutting back on the dumb laws that go into effect, how about cutting back on the over inflated salaries of some government employees. Cutting back on the library is equivalent to cutting back on education, job growth, and social support. I love books and I love reading and I love the opportunity to go to the library and try something new. So I decide to start writing about the books I read and the books Wylie reads. I'll tell you about the ongoing issues with the LAPL as well as changes and issues at libraries around the country. You can find my writings at The Library Report.
