Dinosaur Days Camp

Wylie spent a week attending Dinosaur Days camp through the county summer camps. It was only 3 hours each day and was ALL about dinosaurs ending with a dinosaur dig! Each day was focused on a specific period and type of dinosaur. There were about 8 kids in the camp ranging from 5 to 8 in age. Wylie had a great time and the pictures below tell the story. He is patiently awaiting his chance to go to the "big kid" version next summer which is a full day camp.

The Dinosaur Museum

His Dino Puppet to demonstrate how the jaws work

Using mixed media to create a stegosaurus. I love that he gave it a smiley face.

Fossils

Creating a volcano to understand how some dinosaurs became extinct.

Adding bones to a dinosaur drawing

Cretaceous food chain

Jurassic food chain

Dinosaur crayon

Wylie's Iguanodon. He drew this after doing a dino dig in our backyard using  rocks and brushes to  simulate the finding of bones and how you need to be careful with the uncovering of bones.

Using a tracing and drawing book to work on a T-Rex.

And those were just five days of Dinosaur Camp!
