Monday Food Track
So it's Monday a great day to start the food tracking. You'll see the post for the previous day the following morning.
Breakfast:
Plain Bagel-average size (think Lender Bagel size)
Origin:Local-Los Angeles Bakery picked up by catering van locally
Designation: Traditionally farmed (no clue where actual ingredients came from)
Preparation: I toasted it in the office
Health Rating: Moderately good
Cream Cheese-about 1oz
Origin: Philadelphia
Designation: Processed
Preparation: It was on the bagel when I bought it, came from a big slab. (made the catering van guy show me!) YES he thought I was nuts
Health Rating: Moderately good
Lunch:
Greek Yogurt-1/2 cup
Origin: Local-California Dairy
Designation: Local and Natural
Preparation: Big container purchased and then decanted into reusable plastic container
Health Rating: Good
Tomatoes-Two homegrown
Origin: Local-Backyard
Designation: Organic and Local
Preparation: Cut up on plastic plate from home and served with salt
Health Rating: Superior
Plum-1 medium
Origin: Local -California grown
Designation: Organic
Preparation: None I ate it as is
Health Rating: Superior
Pirate's Booty: 1 bag
Origin: New York
Designation: Traditionally farmed ingredients
Preparation: Single package, non recyclable packaging
Health Rating: So-so Low sugar, low fat, low protein. Almost junk food.
Dinner:
Pizza: NYPD Pizza Burbank
Origin: Burbank CA
Designation: Local vegetables, meat from various sources (definitely not local)
Preparation: Prepared Food from Pizza Place
Health Rating: Poor
Salad: Lettuce, cucumber, green pepper, red onion, spring onion, tomato
Origin: Local (yeah!) produce from the simi valley and santa barbara area
Designation: Organically farmed
Preparation: Cut up, Tossed and Dressed at home
Health Rating: Superior
Liquid
Fair Trade cup of coffee in the morning
Water lots of it
