Sad Day for RMWC

The news was in the Washington Post today and NOT from RMWC where I heard that it will no longer be Randolph-Macon Woman's College. It will be some other school which accepts men and is co-ed. The reasons are supposedly financial and retention related however the board of directors and college never gave a sense that the financial issues of the school were that bad. There is one article on the Washington Post . In other news it is interesting to hear that women are now facing a greater difficulty getting into the school of choice if co-ed based. The most recent USNews&World Report College ranking edition has a great article on it. It was the 8/28/06 college issue. In general it's a sad day for me. I want the school to succeed but based on the given research that has been shared feel that going co-ed is not the solution. Sad Sad day...
