First this, then THAT...
I knew things were too good to be true. This is going to be a bit of drama queen in me but it's getting irritating...
1. I take all the good parent precautions while pregnant.
2. I breastfeed until 15 months.
3. I don't introduce solids until 6 months.
4. I cloth diaper
5. I buy local organic vegetables and fruit.
6. Pediatrician agreed to and follows extended vaccine schedule
7. I USE SUNSCREEN. On Wylie and Myself.
So Why is my child the following:
1. Allergic to cows milk and eggs
2. Allergic to his own skin--Uticaria Pigmentosa
3. Allergic to all anesthesia--local and general,
4. Allergic to polysporins--YUP no pink eye fix, no icky unable to fully clean scraped knees fix, no topical antibiotic fix
5. Allergic to Codeine and any opiate based drugs.
And before anyone jumps on me about allergy testing. We haven't done that yet. This is from a food diary watching reactions when introducing a food.
The others are from the allergy to his skin.
Supposedly he'll grow out of all of them...by the earliest at 10 by the latest at early 20s.
We are doing blood tests at his 24 month checkup. Mostly to confirm it is not a systemic or more serious form of the disease.
Here is what I find in the silver lining...
1. We don't get flu shots. So the egg allergy did not rear it's head there.
2. We used breastmilk to handle the very minor pink eye he contracted in the spring
3. We have been very lucky with illness and injury.
What I need...Wylie to never have a cavity, never have a broken bone, never get a skin bourne infection that needs polysporins.
