Toy Story Mania

We took Wylie to see Toy Story 3 in 3D at the El Capitan theater in Hollywood this past weekend. Some benefits of going to see the movie there:
1. Reserved seats with popcorn and soda 2. Show up ten minutes before movie without having to worry about seats 3. Toy Story Fun Zone after the movie and open only to those who were in the theater. The fun zone was behind the theater on the Hollywood High football field. The Toy Story Fun Zone was a blast! There were midway/carnival type games, foozball, air hockey bungee jumping, a Ferris wheel, tricycle races, photo opportunities, mazes, slides, a show, and if you needed more snacks after the movie there was an ice cream stand. Wylie participated in a tricycle race against two bigger kids. He rode well. It was the first time I've seen him really ride a tricycle. He came in dead last but he peddled hard and tried his best. The race managers gave Wylie an ice cream as a prize for being the youngest, smallest and completing the race when he could have just quit. He was a proud little kiddo.
The organist in the theater who plays the overture to the movie. The organ and organist then go into the floor when the movie is starting. Entering Toy Story Fun Zone Pea in the pod game. Air Hockey! Wylie was great at this game! Foozball! Xbox 360 Toy Story Game room. This was also where the photo opportunities were to be in a Toy Story promo picture. Getting ready for bungee jumping. Getting pulled up to start jumping and he's too small to hold down the bungees. Catching some serious air.
Just hanging around Winning smile of a tricycle racer
Saying Good-bye

Looks fabulous! Chase would have loved to join you -- he's only seen the trailers (and hasn't seen Toy Story 1 or 2 yet) but he's enamored with "Light Buzz Year".
