Blizzard of '09 Top Ten

What is now being called the "Blizzard of 2009" has ended and the fun part has begun. Top Ten List of the Blizzard 1. Catholic Diocese of Arlington has lifted the Sunday obligation due to snow or if you prefer according to Fedex "An Act of God" 2. Burke, VA measurement on the deck is 22 inches. 3. Shoveled some last evening which made this morning shoveling a little easier. 4. 50 year old Lightening Speed sleds complete with red runners and wood seating are fantastic. Everyone except Nanny P took a run or two on it. 5. Duct tape or Packing tape to seal mittens onto snow suit sleeves is the only way to go. 6. Making snow angels. 7. Running jumps into snow drifts that just go "pumpf" when you land. 8. Sledding with Wylie 9. Asking for a White Christmas and getting something even better. 10. Bright eyes and pink cheeks due to playing in the snow. I had asked my mom for a White Christmas or even just a bit of snow. She delivered!
