Yosemite and Sequoia

We have decided we live in a huge, wonderful, diverse state and need to get to know it much better. Wyatt, Wylie and I went on Spring Break this past weekend. In keeping with the tradition Wyatt and I started, we went somewhere cold and wet. First stop was Yosemite National Park for three nights then Sequoia National Park for one night. Highlights: 1. Bridalveil Falls and Upper/Lower Yosemite Falls in Yosemite 2. Wyatt putting chains on the tires to make it through Yosemite (state requirement) 3. Snow and sunshine at the same time 4. Wildlife: Coyote, Deer, Squirrels, Peacocks and Hens, and Dogs 5. Walking through a tree trunk (Length and Width) 6. Seeing over 6oo miles of agriculture based California 7. Tasting several different Port Wines at the only open vineyard on a much advertised wine trail. 8. Wylie identifying every known source of water in both parks and his fascination with the waterfalls. Lessons Learned: 1. Bring lunch into the national parks. Much easier and faster and yummier. 2. If traveling by car, pack a pocket knife and flashlight. 3. Traveling long distances after dark is the best with Wylie currently. Photos to be posted soon!
