A trip to San Diego

We spent the Saturday March 31 in San Diego which is a mere 2 hours from Los Angeles. We met up with John who was in town on business. It was Wyatt and Wylie's first trip to San Diego so we did the touristy things. A quick visit to Balboa Park and then a visit to the Air and Space museum. It is one of the better small museums of aviation that had airplane and rockets to touch and climb around in. We also walked through the gaslamp district and then visited Old Town San Diego. We also made a side trip to Mission San Diego which is the oldest in the state. It was the first mission opened by Father Junipero Serra. Wylie handled the long car trip and the day out and about quite well. I found San Diego to be a fun day and have not eating so much Mexican food in one day. It was also our first day trying out the stroller in "big kid" mode. We removed the bassinet and put the seat on the stroller. Wylie liked it mostly okay...He's still more keen on being carried. Next trip to San Diego we will hit the zoo and wild animal park!
