Wylie Update...

Today he is officially 2 weeks and one day old. His first pediatrician appointment was last week. Nanny P joined us for the appointment and taught us a very important lesson...Backpack and paperwork management. Wylie's stat's at that appointment: (12/11/06) Weight: 8lbs Length: 22 inches (when totally stretched out) 20 3/4 inches otherwise. Circumcision and Belly Button: Healing well. 90th percentile in all aspects! Wylie's week two appointment stats: (12/19/06) Weight: 8lbs 11 oz. (almost 1 1/3 oz gain a day) Length: Not checked yet obviously stretching more and more. Circumcision: Fully Healed Belly Button: Healing slowly so was "cauterized" to protect from infection. Feeding issue: Cluster Feeding! Hungry consistently from 7pm to 12pm. Sleeps well through the night after that. He's awake more and more each day usually in the morning after his 7am meal. He does really well with belly time and holding his head up. Right now he's still interested mainly in the ceiling, my breasts and his thumb. He'll focus on a toy for a few seconds and follow it if it's of interest. Favorite sleeping position: On momma's or pappa's chest with a slight snore. Favorite calming position: In a baby bjorn. Favorite book: Green Eggs and Ham--We are taking too long to get through James and the Giant Peach. Eli and Wyatt update: House-mostly clean, bathroom could use some help Holliday--not totally neglected but very good with Wylie. Decorations: Christmas tree took three days to be totally put up but now it's done and looks wonderful. Nanny Interviews: Tomorrow we have two interviews. Hopefully one will work out for us and we can test her out before I go back to work! His weight at check up was 8lbs 11 oz. That is an 11oz gain in one week.
